Lithuanian Adoption Travel Preparation Seminar

This ICANZ seminar will prepare you for the realities of the trip to your Lithuanian child's country and the early weeks home with your child.
Topics include the Lithuanian adoption process; travel to Lithuania; what you need to take; what you need to know about Lithuanian culture for this trip; orphanages and foster care; child studies and medicals and how to read them; preparation for the transition; naming your child; travelling home with your child; living with your child in a hotel; parenting newly adopted children; the first weeks home; post adoption visits; finalising the adoption, and much more.
A workbook with detailed instructions on the process will be provided.
Where: At ICANZ Office, Suite 3 (upstairs), 666 Dominion Rd, Balmoral, Auckland (corner of Halston Rd and Dominion Rd, with entry off Halston Rd)
When: 9-15am to 4-30pm, Monday 22 March
Cost: $112.50 per couple or $90 single attendee (incl GST, workbooks, morning and afternoon teas.)

The evening will cover the requirements for the various countries ICANZ works with, the process, ages, gender, etc of children waiting for adoption, and anything else you want to know.
