ICANZ MISSION STATEMENT
For every child,
a family.

ICANZ believes that every child has the right to the love and care of a family and works to this end.

AIMS

1. To provide educational services for couples undertaking adoptions.

2. To encourage the formation of support groups for adoptive families and their internationally adopted children for the sharing of ideas, encouragement and the making of friendships.

3. To encourage and assist families to learn about and celebrate their child’s cultural heritage.

4. To offer post adoption services, information, support and continuing educational opportunities to support adoptive families and their children.

5. To assist suitable couples to adopt children from overseas, for whom intercountry adoption is considered by the authorities of their country to be the most appropriate choice of care, provided that such adoptions are in the best interest of the child and are carried out with respect for his or her fundamental rights as recognized in international law.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Membership Form

ICANZ SOCIETY ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP AND MAGAZINE SUBSCRIPTION

ICANZ is a registered Incorporated Society set up to fulfil the aims on the left. The Society provides adoption education and support for its members. Members have an interest in the welfare of children adopted intercountry, and support the aims of ICANZ. Membership of the Society is on an annual basis, and entitles the member to receive the ICANZ magazine twice a year, newsletters on an irregular basis, access to the ICANZ support team and voting rights at the AGM.

Membership is currently $28 per year (including GST) or $38 for overseas members.

The subscription year is from 1 July to 30 June.

The Adoption Programmes have been established by ICANZ to facilitate overseas adoption processes. These services are provided by ICANZ team based at the ICANZ office in Auckland and are fully funded by clients.
